Poker is a game of skill in which players use cards to form the best possible hand. Players may bet against each other or use a combination of bets to improve their odds. The other main feature of the poker game is the card deck. There are hundreds of different types of cards, varying in the size and design of the suits. This is largely dependent on the type of poker being played, but in general, a typical deck consists of aces, kings, queens, jacks, and tens. Often, these suits are not treated as having a relative rank in poker.
The game also has an ancestor, the ante. A forced bet, also called the ante, is a bet a player makes prior to the start of a round. In a draw game, the ante is the equivalent of a second bet in a round. During the draw, the ante is increased by a factor of at least double the ante of the previous draw.
